PIGEONS AND SNORING !

Good Morning ! ... Today is my grand-son Drew's 3rd birthday ... Happy Birthday poppet !!!


It's dull and grey as i look out of the window here , where's our summer and all the hot weather gone ?? !!!



Last night i went to the cinema to watch the new 'Twilight' Film .  I went with my 3 daughters and 2 of their friends .  I've come to the conclusion my 3 daughters aren't quite right in the head lol !! Nutty as fruit cakes .  I so love being in there company , they make me laugh and i feel young again .  They wouldn't let me feel any other way.

My son David and my daughter Ruth's partner Andrew have gone into partnership racing and keeping pigeons .  On Sunday they had their 1st young bird race .  As my late ex.husband kept and raced pigeons just about all his life i thought i would go and watch the birds come home .  They were released at 09-00 am Sunday morning and should arrive home about 1hr and 10mins later .  I had done some home baking the night before so i took down some of the cakes and biscuits that i made so we could have them with a nice cup of tea or coffee whilst waiting for the birds .  We were all excited and just a little bit worried that they would all arrive home and without any injuries .  At 12 mins after 10 we suddenly saw a large batch of pigeons go over , and breaking out of that batch was 3 of 'our' birds .  I cant explain the rush of emotion that goes through you when you see your pigeon arrive , bear in mind that a lot of 'pigeon fanicers' love their birds dearly and form quite a bond with them , even with some pigeons treating their owners as if they are their mate !!  It was a good race with most of the birds returning by the end of the day .  They did really well for their first race taking 6th and 8th 9th 10th in their pigeon club !

I had to go  and see the Ear , Nose and Throat specialist this week as well to see if i had 'Sleep Apnea' , Thankfully i havent .  If i had known though before i went that i would be having a camera up my nose and down my throat i dont think i would of gone !  Yes i am a coward ! Anyway it wasn't as bad as i thought it would be .  Apparently my bottom jaw is back further than it should be and my tongue is also back further than it should be , which means that when i sleep my throat than narrows which causes my snoring !  You may laugh , but i dont think my partner is seeing the funny side of it anymore !! I could have some sort of brace made which you wear at night which can help but it costs the magic word MONEY ! .So at the moment it will have to wait , i'm just hoping my partner can as well lol ! .... Life is full of crazy little things isnt it ? !!
